Log time from
your AI assistant.

Connect Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code once, then ask in plain words. It works with any MCP client, and it is included on every plan, Free too.

Set up your AI assistant

“Log 2h on acme/orbit-app #142.”

The assistant checks the issue and the duration with you, then records an ordinary billable entry, marked as logged by an AI assistant.

“Start a timer on #87.”

It starts a timer on the issue you name. Ask it to stop, and the time is logged.

“Which days am I missing this week?”

It lists the weekdays with no time logged, so you can fill them in before a timesheet goes out.

Repository and issue details stay with the entry, from your weekly view to the client’s timesheet.

Edits have a history

Changes are recorded in an audit trail. Submitted and approved timesheets retain their reviewed entries.

Bring your GitHub
organization along.

Start with the repositories where your work happens.

  1. Connect your GitHub organization

An organization owner installs the GitHub App and selects the repositories the team can log time against.

    Set up your organization
  2. Add the Chrome extension

Sign in, open a tracked issue, and log your first entry. An admin adds your teammates to the same organization.

A few things
worth knowing.

More detail is in the product documentation.

Is ChronoTab free?

Yes. The Free plan includes 5 repositories, 5 seats, 60 days of visible history, and ChronoTab-branded timesheets. Paid plans add more repositories and seats. See the planned tiers.

What do I need to get started?

Your GitHub organization needs the GitHub App installed and at least one tracked repository. An organization owner can set that up. Add the Chrome extension to log directly on issue pages, or use the dashboard and /spend comments. Read the setup guide.

Can I log time with a GitHub comment?

Yes. Comment /spend 2h30m fixed the auth bug on a tracked issue. ChronoTab records the duration against that issue. You can include an activity tag, work date, or --nb for non-billable time. See the command syntax.

Does ChronoTab create invoices?

ChronoTab prepares time records, billable reports, and client timesheets. It has no rates or invoice amounts. Export the approved hours and use your invoicing tool for billing.

Does my client need an account?

No. A client can open a shared timesheet link, review the entries, download a PDF, and approve or reject it. The link gives access to that one timesheet. See the client guide.

What can ChronoTab access on GitHub?

The GitHub App uses read-only access to repository names and issue numbers and titles so it can label time entries. Your organization chooses the repositories. The extension activates on GitHub issue pages. Read the data and permissions guide.

Does it work with GitLab, Bitbucket, or pull requests?

ChronoTab currently tracks time on GitHub issues. The browser extension is available through the Chrome Web Store. Entries are linked to issues rather than pull requests.

Stay on the issue.
We’ll keep the hours attached.
